Messages from spirit are consistent.
The longer I do this, the more I see how basic and fundamental the messages are, how everything we wonder, everything with which we struggle, everything we wish for, everything comes back to Love - unconditional, non-judging, life-sustaining Love.
Be Still. Listen. Be in Nature.
These messages come again and again - the salve for wounds, the activators of creation, the answers to riddles.
Be Still. Listen. Be in Nature.
In stillness, you slide into alignment with your heart, your energy corrects its course. You can hear the wisdom speakers that live within you.
In nature, you slide into alignment with source, you feel the rhythms of the Earth and understand that you are a part of the All That Is.
The Monthly Oracle for May 2012 is here: We definitely had strong themes showing up this month. If you have a question about the card I pulled for you, please let me know. Have a beautiful month!
It's Coffee Circle time - and we're talking about a subject that completely resonates with me right now. In fact, I actually took off two days in a row last week to work in my garden. Have you ever thought about creating an outdoor altar space? How about a fairy garden? When you connect to nature, you connect to your source.
My, how things have changed! - Because I am enchanted by this work space and labyrinth. Wendell Berry, American Hero "Then he takes me to the barn, where there are seven newborn lambs. And he says, 'When you are new at sheep-raising and your ewe has a lamb, your impulse is to stay there and help it nurse and see to it and all. After a while you know that the best thing you can do is walk out of the barn.' " How I Found Reiki, or... "I have come to believe that all the Energy Therapy modalities work with the same energy – it is just the path you feel most comfortable traveling." When You Veer Off Course "Only when we forgive ourselves can we learn to find peace in the face of inevitable mistakes." The boys and I have been working in the garden. The old barely-standing garage was torn down and we created a dirt patio in its place. (We're considering building a deck and a double dog house with a rooftop garden.)
Something happened last week that hasn't happened in a long time. Suddenly, without warning, I slipped into a hole. I participated in a brief, but fairly toxic, conversation. I said things that I didn't mean. They weren't in alignment with my soul. They did, however, feel good.
In the moment.
A few minutes later, they felt horrible.
An outside observer would probably have not even noticed it. I was, after all, saying the sorts of things that people say all the time. It was no big deal, but the words were wrong for me. Words are energy and I engaged in an energy that wasn't healthy.
I asked myself why this had happened, what I needed to learn from it, how I could steer clear of such ditches in the future.
That's when I made a startling discovery. This conversation felt exactly like my relationship with food. Except with food, I'm in the ditch more often than not.
Every month, Megan Monique of Miracle-Readiness hosts a Meditation Circle. It's so lovely and loving. The next call is May 1. I'll be there to share messages from the angels, and I'm looking forward to hearing what comes through for us. You've also probably heard of the 72-Hour Soul Enriching Mega Sale (formerly the 30 Days of Goddess sale). What you might not know is that I'm one of the contributors! It's a complete kit for every area of your life - with over 120 incredible products on creativity, business, soul + health. You get an amazing 94% off over 120 products: - over 80 eBooks
- more than a dozen audios
- over 25 video workshops
- the gifts, teachings and expertise of over 120 women
But it's only a 72-Hour sale and it ends Friday at noon EST. (You can get it here.) And it's also time for the Monthly Oracle. As I do each month, I'll be pulling oracle cards and opening up to the messages of spirit on Wednesday, May 2, at 12 noon EST. If you'd like for me to pull a card for you, just leave a comment here or on the facebook page. And if you can't make the live event, don't worry. The videos will be posted on the blog.
Today's question is about how I launched into this work, things to consider if you're interested in doing the same, and how far along on your spiritual path you need to be in order to learn Reiki.
There are times when other women feel sorry for me because I don’t have children. They suspect that I don’t know the full capacity of love. That's something my boyfriend and my pugs would be surprised to learn. And I promise you, it’s not true. I know the full capacity of love. I knew it even before my nieces were here, and I know it through them now. I used to think I was an absolute pacifist until my eldest niece was born. She was only a few weeks old when I took her out for a walk in our neighborhood, looked up and noticed a sketchy looking man eyeing us from across the park. I knew in that moment that if anyone ever tried to harm my niece, I would do anything necessary to protect her. I wouldn’t even think about it. I would be like a wild animal, and I would fight until I knew she was safe. I want things for my nieces. I want them to grow up in a world that respects them, where the very worst thing that you can say to a boy on the playground is not that he throws like a girl. I want them to be women in a world that trusts them to make decisions about their lives and the health of their bodies, to savor the glories and the burdens of being alive. But I’m not worried about them. I’m not worried about their future at all. I see who they are, and I believe they are just the people to lead us where we’re going.
towards non-shrieky boundaries "Stand in your circles. There you can invite us in and keep us safe. Boundaries aren’t a no-trespassing sign, they’re an invitation, a promise of protection. They’re a gift to your people, not an awkward conversation." Define Your End Game "I think that because our destinations can and often do change, we have encouraged a culture where we often try to forget about them all together..." Give us this day our daily Reiki practice "The biggest benefit we can receive as a Reiki practitioner is to place our hands on ourselves – in the morning, in the evening, without fail, but with purpose – and allow inner transformation to unfold, day by day, treatment by treatment."
On Tuesday the 24th of April, Writing Our Way Home is organising a Blogsplash to celebrate beautiful things, inspired by Fiona Robyn's new novel, ' The Most Beautiful Thing'. They're inviting us (the whole world) to blog, tweet & write about our own most beautiful things. You can post a photo or write a prose piece about your most beautiful thing. You can write a small stone or share a piece of artwork you've made in honor of your most beautiful thing. It's completely up to you. You can even be extravagant and post a whole series of your most beautiful things. There's a directory of everyone who's taking part, and they're also going to re-post their favorite entries on their blog over the following month. I'm already thinking about my most beautiful thing. Because, how beautiful is this idea? Can't you just imagine the energy of all that love as we share our beauty with one another? Pop on over here for more information. I have a feeling this is going to be delicious. (Even though I'll be posting my most beautiful thing on Tuesday, I'll be sharing the next Coffee Circle as well--because it's one of my beautiful things!)
